For the first time, Otis is holding a Read-a-Thon as one of our major fundraising events! This event will replace the Walk a Thon, and will give students an opportunity to read their favorite books, magazines, comic books, etc. while raising money for all of the great programs and activities they experience each day at Otis. Friends and family members can donate to this cause by donating a flat amount or pledging by the minutes read. The Read a Thon will cumulate in a pajama-wearing Day of Reading with a special storytelling assembly, and guest readers in the classrooms. In the coming months, check the Otis PTA Outlook, Konstella, and Room Parent communications for more information and volunteer opportunities.

The funds raised from Walkathon have a huge impact on the school and our students - they are used to help pay for field trips, assemblies, media and technology, Otis' STEAM lab, small-skills reading and math support, and much, much more. Our kids do the reading - and they will reap the rewards!
